Body shame Vs Body confident

"I'd like to give this one a try." The customer with a big frame hands the outfit over to the boutique assistant.

"Madam, may I know what sizes you'd like to try?" the assistant kindly asks questions

She is confused, and then she asks.

" How big do you think I am?"

As boutique assistants, we've been teaching customers to identify their body type, whether it's apple, pear, or skinny, for a long time.

"We are not permitted to use the phrases "FAT, BIG, or SKINNY" because it may offend a consumer... it is considered; BODY SHAME!"
"Would you want to try the L size, madam?" says the salesperson. She offers some advice.

"I'm sure I'm a Medium," says the confident woman.

Yes, some buyers refuse to acknowledge her size, but she is obviously not in the MEDIUM category. Explain to her politely.

"All well, madam, I'll take the medium for you, but just so you know, our dress has a smaller cut." The dress cutting is smaller, therefore a large size isn't exactly very enormous."

So, for her to compare, give her two outfits in various sizes.

Remember that just because you're a bigger person doesn't mean you can't look good. It's up to you to make sure that everything runs well.

Good Luck!
