What we can learn from Law and the city k drama

Five young lawyers.

One building.

Five different floors… and a whole lot of drama.

On the 1 building, there’s the couple who think they’re experts at keeping their romance a secret — though, let’s be honest, everyone knows. Down on the 6th floor, there’s a wife and soon-to-be mom, juggling legal briefs and baby kicks. A few floors below, you’ll find the late bloomer — a man who took longer to graduate because he had to work while studying (and has stories about sleepless nights to prove it). Then there’s the one who was born with a silver spoon… but decided to swap it for a pen, a desk, and a stack of case files.

They look polished in their crisp suits, but behind the scenes? It’s far from perfect. Being a lawyer isn’t all prestige and courtroom drama — it’s late nights, endless coffee, and problems that somehow always end up shared over lunch or dinner. That’s their tradition: sit together, spill the tea, and remind each other they’re still human.

When they started, they all had the same dream — to be respected, win cases, and make their mark. But dreams have a funny way of changing. Somewhere along the way, they started asking: Is this really what we wanted?

One thing they’ve learned? Starting late doesn’t mean losing the race. If you keep running, new doors open — sometimes even better ones than you imagined. And sticking to your principles might get you in trouble, might even cost you a job, but it’ll never cost you your self-respect.

For the soon-to-be mom, balancing a career and a family feels like walking a tightrope. The wealthy-born lawyer? He’s learning that privilege doesn’t mean skipping the hard parts — it just means starting with better shoes.

And passion? That’s the secret fuel. It’s what keeps them going through deadlines, rejections, and clients who think “urgent” means “at 2 a.m.”

It’s the same for us in the boutique. From the outside, we might look all glamorous and pretty displays. But behind the velvet curtain? It’s long hours, unpredictable customers, and the occasional chaos that makes you laugh just so you don’t cry. We’ve faced all kinds of challenges — sometimes smiling through heartbreak. (The hardest smile? Serving a customer just hours after my mother passed away.)

We’ve cried. We’ve laughed. And no matter what life throws at us, we’re always ready to greet you with the biggest smile — because in the end, that’s how we win the day
